For the last two years, I’ve been a volunteer, sponsor and co-organizer for Charlotte Startup Weekend and this weekend’s event, my third one with the team, was pretty darn good.

The thing I was most impressed with was the diversity among the participants. Students, people of color, women, a ten year old, developers, designers, an audio engineer, marketing specialists, and a fairy. I emphasize the diversity element because it is in fact the true reflection of the whole Charlotte community and one that I see at Ignite Charlotte, but don’t often see at startup events like this one.
