Event/Project Manager

Contractor: Filter Talent, (webtrends) Portland, OR

  • Serve as an in-house project/event manager overseeing a team of nine staff members for the production of a 300 person, week-long conference, in Las Vegas with an operating budget of $500K.
  • Manage stage production, event/conference logistics, air and hotel arrangements, and off-site events including an exclusive Poker Tournament.

Event Producer

Oct ‘07 – Ongoing

Contractor: Elements Meetings, (Mentor Corporation & Coloplast) Santa Barbara, CA

  • Conduct site visits, participate in conference calls and write the creative brief.
  • Provide pre-production, onsite and post-production project management for various events with operating budgets ranging from $25-250K: (New York; Baltimore; Brazil; Berlin; San Diego; San Francisco; Seattle; Argentina; Thailand; Vietnam; and Korea)
  • Secure estimates and negotiate contracts with event specific vendors including various performers. Successful in saving anywhere from 20-50% of pre-negotiated rates.
  • Stage manage to include, load-in, load-out scheduling, run of show development, room selection, stage layout, lighting, audio, multimedia equipment ordering, multimedia resources management, and on-site technical management to include speaker rehearsals and coaching.

Audience Development Manager

  • Developed audience development; marketing strategies designed to increase awareness for OSF offerings within the African-American and Hispanic/Latin markets.

    • Managed equipment load-in/out and maintenance for hospitality facilities: IOC, UPS and Coca-Cola Suites.
    • Provided inventory management, ordering, billing, and delivery scheduling to reduce payment delays, while successfully maintaining and increasing Minute-Maid marketing presence in Australia.

    • Analyzed existing presence within the environmental management and technical support industry, resulting in the development of a business plan, new marketing strategies and a new corporate identity package.
